We are a social enterprise

The people who help us create the BloomsBoxes are very important to us. We collaborate with two large social employment initiatives in and around Utrecht. Many scheduled tasks are carried out by employees from the social workshop Reinaerde. They are also present when we fulfill large orders. As a result, we have built a strong bond with these colleagues.

Why the BloomsBox?
  • The BloomsBox is made of FSC-certified European pine wood.
  • There is no unnecessary waste because the shipping packaging is also used as a pot for the plants.
  • All the paper we use is PaperWise paper. The environmental impact of this paper is 47% lower than FSC-certified paper and 29% lower than recycled paper.
  • The inner lining makes the BloomsBox waterproof and is made of recycled cardboard.
  • The plant pots are made of bamboo paper.
  • The plants themselves come from growers with an MPS-A and -GAP certificate.
  • The strings that absorb water for the plants are made of 100% cotton.
  • Our production facility in Utrecht is energy-neutral.
  • We compensate for the (limited) carbon footprint of the BloomsBoxes by planting trees. This ensures that the BloomsBox is a CO2-neutral gift.
  • We are a Social Enterprise and are assisted in assembling our BloomsBoxes by people with a disadvantage in the labor market in our location in Utrecht.
