Veel planbare werkzaamheden worden door medewerkers van sociale werkvoorziening Reinaerde uitgevoerd. Ook als we grote bestellingen maken zijn zij van de partij. We hebben daardoor een goede band met deze collega’s opgebouwd.
Waarom de BloomsBox?
- De BloomsBox is van FSC gecertificeerd Europees dennenhout gemaakt.
- Er is geen onnodig afval want de verzendverpakking wordt ook meteen als pot voor de planten gebruikt.
- Al het papier dat we gebruiken is PaperWise papier. De milieu-impact van dit papier is 47% lager dan van FSC-gecertificeerd papier en 29% lager dan van gerecycled papier.
- De binnenbekleding maakt de BloomsBox waterdicht en is van gerecycled karton gemaakt.
- De plantenpotjes zijn van bamboepapier gemaakt.
- De planten zelf komen bij kwekers vandaan met een MPS-A en -GAP keurmerk.
- De touwtjes waarmee de planten water opnemen zijn gemaakt van 100% katoen.
- Onze productielocatie in Utrecht is energieneutraal.
- De (beperkte) carbon footprint van de BloomsBoxen compenseren we met de aanplant van bomen. Zo zorgen wij ervoor dat de BloomsBox een CO2-neutraal cadeau is.
- We zijn een Social Enterprise en worden bij het samenstellen van onze BloomsBoxen geholpen door mensen met een achterstand tot de arbeidsmarkt in onze vestigingsplaats Utrecht.
